EMS

The Kingston Fire Department currently provides Emergency Medical Technicians at
three levels: Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic. Having all three levels of trained
personnel allows us to offer the highest possible level of medical care to the citizens
of Kingston. In addition, Exeter Hospital is available for Advanced Life Support
intercepts when necessary. Med flights are dispatched as needed for serious
emergencies.

Ambulance crews are licensed by the State of New Hampshire and the National
Registry of EMT’s. They are required to pass a rigorous test after taking courses
appropriate to their level of training. In addition, all EMT’s participate in continuous
training sessions to assure the highest quality of care to our residents. The EMS
Coordinator monitors compliance with all department infection control procedures
and policies relating to emergency care and transportation. These efforts continue to
pay dividends as evidenced by the increasing level and quality of care being
provided in the field.
